I have been still long enough

I have been still long enough
like stagnant water replete with bacteria and the other
My mind has fostered the most corrosive of things.
So I am thick; weighted, I cannot move.

Batter me, tumble me through rocks heavy
Purify and free me of these hissing multiplying breathing things
my psyche has
Fling the filth from me.

Brilliant! Brilliant brown and shining brightly new I will be
swinging my hips with confidence
Free me of what I once was and I will revel in the new.

I’ll be so light, free of those heavy things, so that no man
can trip me
So far above the ground I will be
untouchable.
